The material Just Mr. plays is a celebration of vintage album-oriented and progressive rock by such seminal 70's artists such as Styx, Kansas, Journey, REO, Genesis, ELP, Yes, and many, many others.
Most of the songs that make up the best music of the 70's were songs that radio stations, program directors and DJs took a chance on playing to broaden their playlist and make the airwaves more exciting.
Tunes such as "Roll With The Changes", "Karn Evil 9", "Roundabout" and "Foreplay/Long Time" were NOT hit singles, but they became well-known tracks because of album-oriented rock radio.
The members of Just Mr. grew up enjoying this same music, and they do their very best to replicate the experience from the days of putting a vinyl record onto your turntable, ("Huh? What's a record?") putting your headphones on (so your mother wouldn't yell at you to turn it down!), tune out the outside world and just become immersed in the music. Just Mr. has been a St. Louis, Missouri area band since 1992. They've intentionally side-stepped all of the musical trends to remain focused on playing great songs that people are still quite fond of and are still very interested in hearing.
